Do you Dream in colour?

We at Westben certainly do! For eighteen seasons we have shared many colourful dreams with you in our beautiful corner of the world. In fact, how can any of us even think of Westben without seeing blue skies, green meadows and golden sunshine? Let alone the rosy colours of friendliness and joy!

Colour adds dimension, nuance and subtlety. It freshly illuminates any experience with new vibrancy, and it provokes a more intense personal and emotional response.

So imagine what happens when you consider music through colour. Welcome to Season 2018 where colour is everywhere. Right from the explosion of colour in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, we present a rainbow of concerts and artists ranging from the golden age of Bach performed by Tafelmusik, the “ruby” (80th) birthday celebration for pianist Robert Silverman and the red white & blue of The British Invasion. There is colour in the key of comedy with Colin Mochrie & Deb McGrath, and boogie-woogie blues courtesy of jazz pianist, Michael Kaeshammer, just to name a few. Even our vines-food-music pairing Dare to Pair Saturdays revel in delicious shades of red, white, beer-brown and even chocolate!

This year, Westben’s dreams have become even more colourful. Our recent transformation into a year-round Centre for Connection and Creativity through Music is perhaps the most colourful evolution that the organization has ever explored. We invite you to join us for a whole new array of activities that bring people together through music including new year-round programming, partnerships, residencies, Tick Talks, House Concerts and more... Such are a few of the colourful pixels we are dreaming about this year. As always, it is an honour to have you dreaming along with us. Together, may we always dream in colour!
