The hills are alive with the sound of music, again!
On the last weekend of July 2021, Westben was thrilled to welcome back audiences to live music once again! Appropriately, the first song to grace the Westben grounds in almost two years was “The Hills are Alive” from The Sound of Music performed by the lovely Donna Bennett and Brian Finley. Friends on the Hill proceeded with an array of incredible local artists bringing life back to the grounds of Westben, and boy did they deliver!
Saturday, the weather was rainy, but that did not stop the audiences from coming out! The hills came alive to the musical stylings of Lemon Bucket Orkestra! The boisterous, lively music seemed to bring the meadow to life and had everyone tapping their toes, wishing that they could dance with their fellow audience members!
The Welcome Back Weekend was closed out by none other than Robert Michaels. Though it was another rainy day, the sold-out audience filed in to witness the world-class artist perform! His talent had the audience listening in awe; the playful and somewhat romantic atmosphere that he created was such a wonderful way to end the weekend.
It was a joy to welcome new and familiar friends to Westben and we look forward to safely continuing to create community through music with you!
