ABOUT

 

Dante Mullin Santone

Baritone Dante Mullin Santone is an eclectic performer currently pursuing a Master’s of Opera at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music studying under Wendy Nielsen.  Recent role credits include Don Alfonso in Così fan tutte, Odysseus in Berkeley's Castaway, Beaupertuis in Rota’s Il cappello di paglia di Firenze, and Bartley in Vaughan-Williams’ Riders to the Sea. He is an avid performer of art song, having won the Jim and Charlotte Norcop Prize in Song(2024), and he was a 2023 fellow with the Toronto Summer Music “Art of Song” program. He’s enjoyed singing concert repertoire such as Mozart’s Requiem, Fauré’s Requiem, and Brahms’ Ein Deutsches Requiem with ensembles across Ontario, among them, the Sudbury Symphony Orchestra, Orpheus Choir of Toronto, and a rare performance of Bernstein’s MASS with Chorus Niagara. He’s been a resident artist with Shoestring Opera singing Papageno in their touring adaptation of The Magic Flute. He is passionate about advancing new music, having premiered works such as Evan Tanovich’s Missa Solemnis in D, and Allan Bevan’s Perfectly Mad, among many other premieres of art song and choral works. In the fall of 2024, he was a finalist in the National Auditions for L’opéra de Montréal’s Atelier Lyrique and is very excited to join their resident artists for the 25/26 season.

 
 

Aemilia Moser

Aemilia Moser is a Canadian-Austrian soprano currently completing her masters degree in opera at the University of Toronto. She has performed both principal and supporting roles in a diverse array of works, ranging from Schönberg’s Pierrot Lunaire to Massanet’s Cendrillon

Aemilia is particularly passionate about concert repertoire, and has performed as a soloist with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra of Edmonton, the Alberta Baroque Society, the University of Manitoba Wind Ensemble, and the River City Chamber Orchestra.

Other notable accomplishments include an Encouragement Award at the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition, first place at the CFMTA National Voice Competition, and second place in the University of Manitoba Concerto Competition. In 2023, she was selected to be a young artist in Manitoba Opera's Digital Emerging Artist Program, creating the short film Sovra il sento.
